Rasfannu Artificial Beach

Rasfannu Artificial Beach is a coastal, man-made shoreline near Malé in the Maldives. As an artificial beach site, it is used primarily for local snorkelling and beginner- to training-level entry practice rather than a natural offshore dive destination. The area is typically calm with shallow exposure near the shore, making it suitable for pool-to-dive skill development and introductory surface intervals. Due to its artificial nature, expect limited underwater features and soft-bottom topography close to the beach, with the potential for small urban-dwelling marine life and nearby vector of reef species in the surrounding fringe habitats. Access is easy from nearby urban accommodations, and conditions are best in calm weather with minimal surge.
