Furana Thila

Furana Thila is a Maldivian thila dive site located in the Laccadives/Ari atoll region. It features a typical pinnacle seamount structure rising from deep water to shallow tops, attracting a variety of reef fish, clear current-favored drift zones, and healthy hard coral coverage. Access is from local Malé-area operations with straightforward boat entry and short transfers from the atoll hub. Typical conditions include warm tropical water with good visibility and a gentle to moderate current, making it suitable for experienced reef and drift divers as well as confident beginners on supervised dives. The site commonly hosts schooling fish, fusiliers, snappers, groupers, and occasional reef sharks; Manta sightings are more seasonal and less predictable. Coordination with a local dive center will confirm current conditions and any drift considerations before planning a dive.
