Overheat Reef

Overheat Reef is a local Caribbean dive site near Roatán. It features typical reef topography with Coral formations, gentle slopes, and coral heads. Access is straightforward from the shoreline or a short boat ride. Conditions are generally calm with good visibility, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. You can expect a mix of reef-dwelling species common to Central American reefs, including various damselfishes, butterflyfishes, angelfish, parrotfish, and resident wrasse and moray eels. The site offers a relaxed drift or wall sections depending on depth, with opportunities to observe healthy corals and small reef fish schools.
