Black Rock

Black Rock is a beach reef site on Roatán's northern coast, popular for beginner and intermediate divers. The site typically features a sloping reef wall from a few meters depth down to around 20 meters, with clear Caribbean water and varied life. Expect a mix of hard and soft corals, schooling fish, small groupers, reef dwelling invertebrates, and occasional rays along the sand patches. Entry is from the shore or a short surface swim, with calm conditions common in good weather. The site is often used for standard check dives and introductory curricula, as well as drift opportunities when current permits. Nearby reefs and the Roatán barrier can offer broader exploration beyond this site.
