Roatán

Macks Wall

Macks Wall is a shore- or reef-dominated site off Roatán that features a vertical wall drop from the reef edge. The wall typically starts around shallow depths and plunges deeper along a rugged backdrop studded with overhangs, crevices, and fans of coral. Access is straightforward from the reef ridge with a comfortable entry and a short surface interval before descending. Expect clear Caribbean waters, moderate to good visibility, and a mix of hard corals, sponges, and a variety of reef fish common to Roatán’s Caribbean reefs. The site is suitable for upgrading buoyancy control and practicing wall-dive techniques, with macro critters and small schooling fish often visible along the ledges. Currents can vary; plan for a drift-friendly approach when conditions are favorable.
