Fuselier Reef

Fusilier Reef is a coastal reef dive site located near Malé and the inhabited atoll areas of the Maldives. The site typically features a shallow to moderate depth profile with clear, tropical water and vibrant coral gardens. Expect a mix of hard corals, colorful reef fishes, schools of fusiliers and butterflyfish, and occasional small pelagics cruising the drop-offs. Entry is usually from a sandy or rubble seabed with steady conditions when winds are light; currents can vary, so planning around tides is advised. The site offers relaxed drift or wall sections depending on the exact orientation of the reef, making it suitable for intermediate snorkelers and scuba divers with basic experience. Nearby atolls and homestead dive centers provide access and safety support for local excursions.
