Zig Zag

Zig Zag is a local dive site near Roatán, characterized by a gentle slope and a series of coral heads that form a zigzag pattern along the seabed. The site typically offers easy entry from a sandy bottom and calm conditions, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect an approachable topography with alternating ridges and small coral formations, home to a variety of Caribbean reef species such as colorful damselfish, parrotfish, angelfish, and occasional groupers. Visibility is often good, and currents are usually mild, though brief or localized current shifts can occur. The area is commonly used for training dives and relaxed drift dives along the crest of the reef structures, with marine life concentrated around the coral heads and surrounding rubble patches.
