Peters Place

Peters Place is a local Roatán dive site offering straightforward access and straightforward conditions for recreational divers. Located close to Roatán’s northern coast, the site typically features a gentle slope and sandy-to-rocky bottom with adjacent coral formations. Expect calm inshore conditions suitable for beginners and for practicing buoyancy, with visibility often ranging from fair to good. Marine life commonly includes small reef fishes, angelfish, damselfish and occasional larger critters cruising the edges of the reef and along the sand. Entry is usually from shore or a short buoyed ascent, with easy exit points near the anchor line. The site is popular for shallow drills and relaxed dives, especially when nearby centers organize boat trips from Roatán.
