Okobe Thila

Okobe Thila is a local Maldivian dive site located near Malé and Gulhi Falhu. This shallow reef topography typically features a sandy bottom with coral outcrops and is popular for beginner and intermediate divers due to easier currents and clear water. Expect typical tropical reef life such as small reef fish, angelfish, parrotfish, fusiliers, and occasionally grazing turtles or reef sharks in busier channels. Access is straightforward from nearby atolls, with boat departures from Malé or local guesthouses. Visibility can vary with wind and plankton, but calm days offer good clarity for exploring the shallow reef structures and swim-throughs along the sloping reef edge.
