Malé

Furana South

Furana South is a manta- and reef-dominated wall site off Malé, Maldives. The dive typically starts from sheltered channels and follows a gentle drift along a sloping wall that drops from around 6–8 meters to 20–25 meters, with clear, blue water and good visibility. The area features vibrant coral gardens, overhangs, and scattered bommies that host a range of reef fish, morays, eagle rays, and occasional mantas during seasonal movements. Entry is from a boat in calm conditions; currents can vary, so planning for a drift dive with appropriate certification and local guidance is advised. Being close to Malé and Gulhi Falhu, this site is popular for short day trips and can be combined with nearby atolls for macro critters and schooling reef fish.
