Faru Corner

Faru Corner is a shallow, sheltered reef dive site near Malé and the atolls of the Malé Atoll group. The site typically features a series of coral bommies and small valleys with sandy patches in between. Entry is straightforward from a calm site, making it suitable for guided shallow dives and beginners who have some buoyancy control. Expect typical Maldives reef life such as clownfish, damselfish, angelfish, parrotfish, snappers, and occasional reef sharks in the wider area, with healthy hard corals on the bommies and gentle currents that keep the reef exposed and lively. Visibility is often good, though it can be affected by plankton blooms or wind-driven sediment, so planning around weather is advised.
