Emboodhoo Canyon

Emboodhoo Canyon is a Maldivian site featuring a deep, narrow canyon formed by walls and ledges. The dive typically starts from a reef edge and follows a vertical or near-vertical descent into the canyon’s interior, with varied topography including crevices and swim-through opportunities. Conditions here are influenced by the open Indian Ocean: visibility often ranges, currents can be present, and planning for a drift or wall style dive is common. Expect abundant reef life typical of the region: many species of reef fish, occasionally larger pelagics, and healthy hard coral growth along the canyon walls. The site is near populated atolls, with easy access from local dive centers operating around Malé and Gulhi Falhu.
