Canyon Reef

Canyon Reef is a local Roatán site offering a shallow to mid-depth wall and reef structure along a submarine canyon. Access is straightforward from the shore or a short boat hop, with typical Caribbean visibility and calm conditions most days. The site features a sloping drop with coral gardens, providing habitat for tropical reef species such as small groupers, snappers, parrotfish, butterflyfish, and a variety of damsels. Occasional larger pelagics may pass by the drop zone. Given Roatán’s Caribbean setting, currents are usually mild to moderate at depth, suitable for experienced beginners under supervision and recreational divers alike.
