Roatán

Butcher’s Bank

Butcher’s Bank is a shallow to mid-depth reef site off Roatán, known for its undulating hard coral formations and sandy patches. The topography features ledges, small overhangs, and scattered coral heads that foster a variety of tropical reef life. Access is typically via boat; currents can vary, so planning for a drift or time your dive with conditions is wise. Expect common Caribbean species such as parrotfish, snappers, grunts, angelfish, trunkfish, stingrays, and occasional sea fans and sponges. Visibility is generally good, with better clarity in calm seas.
