Bandos Rock

Bandos Rock is a shallow reef dive site near Bandos Island, just outside Malé in the Malé Atoll. The site is known for a rocky reef structure that drops to modest depths and hosts a mix of hard corals and abundant reef fish. Accessibility is straightforward from local dhoni or resort boats, with a typical entry from a beach or gentle sloping edge. Conditions are usually calm, with clearer blue water and good visibility on sunny days. Common sightings include small reef fish, fusiliers, angelfish, snappers and occasional bigger groupers around the rock formations. The site is suitable for beginners and for check-out dives, while more experienced divers can explore the crevices and minor overhangs along the rock ledges.
