Gulhi Falhu

Vadoo Cave

Vadoo Cave is a local Maldivian dive site near the atolls of southern Malé Atoll. The site’s significant feature is a submerged cave system formed by channels and overhangs in coral formations. Dives typically start from a shallow entry and explore the cave passages with careful buoyancy control, making it suitable for reef divers with cave awareness. Conditions are generally sheltered with clear, warm water and good visibility. The surrounding reef supports a typical Maldivian reef profile — colorful soft and hard corals, schooling reef fish, and occasional reef sharks and rays in the wider area. Entry is via the reef crest and access is commonly from a guest resort or local dhoni dive boats, with nearby hubs in Malé and Vadoo. Water movement is usually gentle, but currents can vary with tides, so plan dives accordingly.
