Turtle Ledge

Turtle Ledge is a shallow reef dive site near Key Largo, known for its turtle sightings and a gently sloping ledge that hosts a variety of tropical marine life. Expect clear, warm water with moderate currents and good visibility typical of Florida's reef systems. The site features a sandy bottom interspersed with coral heads and a vertical wall in some sections, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Typical reef residents include parrotfish, angelfish, wrasses, snappers, and reef-associated critters like small crabs and shrimps. Access is straightforward from local dive boats, with entry from the shallow rubble and sandy areas.
