Tobia Island

Tobia Island is a sandy-bottom island in Ras Abu Soma area, often visited for easy access from the coast and relaxed drift dives along the surrounding reef edges. The site typically features shallow to moderate depths with calm conditions in fair weather, and clear water common to the region. Divers commonly encounter rocky rubble slopes, small coral heads, and a variety of Western Indian Ocean reef life in the nearby fringing reefs, including damselfish, snappers, clownfish, parrotfish, and occasional turtle sightings. Entry is straightforward from the shore or from a nearby launch point, with drift benefits for experienced divers under suitable currents. The site is commonly explored as a calm, light-to-moderate dive between Ras Abu Soma and Safaga.
