Shaab Zuuk

Shaab Zuuk is a local dive site near Ras Abu Soma, about 6–7 km offshore, often visited for its drift dives and reef zones along the coast. The site features a shallow to moderate depth range with a mix of sandy patches and coral structures that attract a variety of reef life. Divers commonly encounter colorful small fish, damselfish, snappers, and occasionally sea turtles or reef sharks in larger areas of clear water. Access is straightforward from local beaches or dive boats; conditions depend on wind and current, with calm mornings typically offering better visibility. This site is suitable for intermediate divers comfortable with drift and reef exploration, and it is frequently paired with trips to nearby Safaga for broader site variety.
