Sebastian Reef

Sebastian Reef is a shallow and sheltered reef site near Kralendijk, suitable for beginner and intermediate divers. The reef forms a gently sloping ledge with boulder and coral habitat, hosting a variety of small reef fishes, angelfish, damselfish, parrotfish, and sponges. Visibility is typically good, and currents are usually mild, making for relaxed dives along the reef crest. Access from the coast is straightforward, with straightforward entry and exit from the sand and seagrass flats. The site is commonly explored by boat from the nearby dive hubs, and is often included in local shore or short-boat dive itineraries. Nearby sites such as 1000 Steps and Karpata offer more dramatic drop-offs and can provide divers with a progression of depth and topography within short trips.
