Ras Hendrik Gamil

Ras Hendrik Gamil is a coastal dive site in the Ras Abu Soma/Safaga area known for its clear Red Sea waters and gentle reefs. The site typically features sloping sandy bottoms with scattered coral patches and reef profiles that attract a range of reef fish. Divers commonly enter from a shoreline or a small jetty and follow gradual contours to shallower or mid-depth sections. Conditions are generally calm with good visibility, making it suitable for introductory to intermediate dives when seas are stable. While not a famed wreck or monument, the area offers pleasant underwater scenery and a chance to encounter groupers, snappers, moray eels, parrotfish, and variable reef communities associated with the central Red Sea.
