Nine Channel

Nine Channel is a shallow coastal site in Key Largo characterized by a series of small ledges and channels that run parallel to the reef. The site is typically explored from a sandy bottom with moderate relief, making it accessible to recreational divers. Expect clear tropical Atlantic water with good visibility and a gentle current on deeper sections. The dive offers a straightforward swim along the channels, with opportunities to spot common Caribbean reef life such as snapper, parrotfish, moray eels, and grunts, plus occasional rays over sandy patches. The site’s proximity to Key Largo’s mangroves and seagrass beds adds variety to the habitat. Access is straightforward from local dive boats, and shore entries are feasible from nearby beaches when conditions permit.
