Key Largo

Minnow Cave

Minnow Cave is a shallow ledge dive site near Key Largo, offering a sheltered cave-like swim-through with a low ceiling and a narrow opening. The site is typically gentle in current and suitable for photographers and newer divers with basic cave entry training under supervision. Expect a sandy bottom with sparse seafloor structure and intermittent patches of coral and soft corals along the walls. Common Caribbean reef life such as small damsels, snappers, moray eels, and parrotfish can be seen around the entrance and along the cave edges. Visibility is generally moderate, and depth remains shallow, making it an accessible local excursion with straightforward orientation.
