Lotus Bay House Reef

Lotus Bay House Reef is a nearshore reef dive site located off Safaga, Egypt. Access is straightforward from the coast, with a shallow start that typically drops to around 8–15 meters along sloping reefs. The site features a mosaic of hard corals, sponge gardens, and patches of sandy bottom. Expect a variety of Western Indian Ocean reef life typical of the Red Sea, including damselfish, bannerfish, parrotfish, snappers, and occasional reef sharks. The calm conditions and gentle slopes make it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, while some broader gullies and small swim-throughs offer light exploratory options. Currents are usually mild but can pick up with wind and tides, so plan accordingly and dive with a buddy. Nearby towns like Safaga and Ras Abu Soma provide access points and dive centers for local trips.
