Hin Wong Bay

Hin Wong Bay is a small, sheltered bay on the southeast coast of Ko Tao, known for its relatively calm conditions and shallow coral formations. The site offers a gentle entry from a sandy shore and a gently sloping reef top at shallow depths, making it suitable for beginners and relaxed recreational dives. Along the reef edge you’ll find a mix of hard corals, soft corals, and a variety of reef fish common to the Gulf of Thailand, such as parrotfish, damselfish, angelfish, and clownfish. Visibility is typically good in calm weather, with sea grass meadows nearby that host myriad small organisms. It is a straightforward dive focusing on healthy reef habitat and easy conditions rather than dramatic depth or topography.
