Shark Bay

Shark Bay is a coastal dive site near Ko Tao, characterized by gentle sloping reefs and clear water typical of tropical shallows. The site features sandy patches interspersed with coral growth and plenty of marine life commonly seen around Koh Tao, including small reef fish, pufferfish, and occasional larger species cruising the edges. Entry is straightforward from the shoreline, making it suitable for beginners on calm days, while drift conditions can occur with currents and sea state. Visibility is typically good, and the site offers a relaxed dive with convenient access from nearby accommodation and dive centers around Ko Tao.
