Simon's Rock

Simon's Rock is a local, shallow reef site on Ko Tao that offers straightforward drift and wall elements suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect a sloping to rubble-bottom terrain with a gentle wall drop, typically ranging from just a few meters down to around 12–15 meters. The site often features clear water and a calm, sheltered setting depending on conditions, with common reef residents such as small reef fish, anthias, damselfish, and occasionally parrotfish. Access is quick from Ko Tao, and the site is popular for a relaxed morning or afternoon dive, often paired with other nearby reef sites around the island. As with many Ko Tao sites, visibility and current can vary; always plan a conservative dive and stay with a buddy or guide.
