Chumphon Pinnacle

Chumphon Pinnacle is a well-known Navy wreck- and reef-adjacent site in the Gulf of Thailand, popular for drift diving and macro life. Located off the coast near Ko Tao, the site features a pinnacle that rises from the depth with a sloping hard-bottom area around it. Divers typically start from a gentle current edge, following a drift along the reef and pinnacles where visibility is often good and water is warm. Expect tropical reef fish, schools of small fusiliers, snappers, and occasional larger pelagics. The topography includes coral outcrops, crevices, and a steep drop-off, making it suitable for experienced drift divers as well as cautious beginners with a guide. Access is boat-based from Ko Tao with relatively short travel times.
