Cerebros is a local dive site near Playa del Carmen, accessible within a short surface interval from town. The area is known for its easy-water access and typical Caribbean reef conditions, making it suitable for entry-level divers and short half-day dives. Expect calm currents, clear turquoise water, and a shallow to moderate depth profile. The site can feature sandy patches, rocky ledges, and a variety of reef life common to the Riviera Maya, including small reef fish, damselfish, parrotfish, and stingrays. Conditions are generally stable in benign weather, with visibility often good in calm seas.
