Boulegeades

Boulegeades is a local Mediterranean dive site near Cassis and Marseille, accessible to recreational divers. Located in the northern part of the Calanques area, it offers varied underwater topography with rocky reefs and possible swim-throughs along vertical drop-offs. Depths are typical of coastal dives, usually shallow to moderate, making it suitable for intermediate novices under calm sea conditions. Expect clear visibility on good days, with common Mediterranean species such as groupers, octopus, moray eels, and wrasses around rocky patches and seagrass meadows. Access is best from the coast, with entry from rocky shores or designated platforms when sea conditions permit. This site is commonly used for beginner to intermediate dives and for practicing buoyancy and navigation around rocky formations.
