Shark Observatory

Shark Observatory is a coastal site near Sharm El Sheikh that features a shallow to mid-depth reef wall and rocky ledges typically accessed from the shore or a brief boat ride. The site offers clear year-round visibility and a gently sloping topography with pockets of coral and resident reef fish. Divers may encounter parrotfish, damsels, snappers, and occasional moray eels, with the potential for reef sharks in the area. Entry is straightforward from a sandy beach or shallow rocky steps, and conditions are generally suitable for open-water certified divers with basic buoyancy control. The site lies on the southern Sinai coast where warm, clear conditions are common and currents are usually mild to moderate depending on tidal influences.
