Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is an island off the southeast coast of Bali, Indonesia. It’s a notable gateway for divers visiting the Bali region, with several local dive centers offering day trips to the surrounding reefs and famous sites nearby. While the island hosts dive operators, the main activity tends to be trips to reef walls, drift dives, and the surrounding Bali Sea ecosystems accessible by fast boats from nearby hubs like Sanur or Padang Bai. Conditions are typically warm, with moderate to good visibility and currents that suit drift diving; marine life includes reef fish, turtles, and occasional larger pelagics depending on the site. For freshwater or inland divers, the area is not a primary freshwater diving destination.
