Qala

Qala is a village on the island of Gozo, Malta, set on the north-west side and commonly used as a practical base for diving around Gozo. Diving here is mostly saltwater in the Mediterranean, with sites accessed by short drives and boat trips depending on conditions. Visibility is often best when sea state is calm, and currents can vary by location and time of day, so most centers brief you on the day’s plan. Qala itself is more about local access and departure logistics than being a “dive site” on its own; you’ll typically dive the well-known Gozo highlights (rocky walls, channels, and wreck/diver-favorite spots) organised through nearby dive operations.
