Wied Il Ghasri

Wied il-Ghasri is a sheltered, shallow coastal site on the northern Maltese coast, best suited for calm conditions and beginner to intermediate divers. The dive typically features a gentle sloping bottom that transitions into a rocky wall and a sheltered cave-like notch, with easy entry from the small shore and a short swim over sandy patches. Expect clear visibility in good conditions and a calm, protected environment shielded from heavier Atlantic swells. Marine life in this area commonly includes small reef fish, morays, and perceberbs on rocky ledges, with posidonia meadows nearby contributing to the habitat. The site is popular for training dives and introductory explorations, particularly when winds keep open-water classes closer to shore.
