Tiboulene Du Frioul

Tiboulene du Frioul is a sheltered dive site located off the Frioul archipelago near Marseille. The site forms a shallow to moderate depth reef and rocky plateau offering relatively easy conditions for recreational divers. Typical terrain includes sloping seabed with scattered rocks, small caves and swim-throughs in some areas. Visibility varies with tides and weather but is generally good for the area. The Frioul archipelago hosts a Mediterranean fauna such as groupers, octopus, moray eels and a variety of wrasse and damsels, with posidonia seagrass meadows nearby providing habitat for many species. Access is commonly from near-shore entry points or small boats from Marseille or the nearby coastal towns, with returns usually straightforward and suitable for day trips from the mainland.
