The Rubicon Marina Ramp is a sheltered wall-dominated site accessed from the marina in Yaiza. The site typically features a gentle ascent and descent along a man-made promenade with easy entry from the ramp. Depths are shallow near the shore and deepen toward the wall, with typical ranges suited to beginner and intermediate divers. Expect clear, often calm conditions, with plenty of structure in the form of pilings, reef-like growth on artificial surfaces, and occasional pelagic activity around the marina’s perimeters. Wildlife is seasonal but can include small reef fish, cuttlefish, octopus, and blennies around the pilings. The site offers straightforward navigation and a relaxed drift potential when connected to a gentle current along the harbor edge. Access is convenient from Yaiza, a few kilometers from El Puertito and La Oliva, making it a practical option for a quick shore dive or training dive between visits to nearby towns.
