Faro del Lobos is a coastal site off the northeastern tip of Fuerteventura, known for its sheltered conditions and accessible entry from the shore. The dive typically features a sandy to rubble seabed that slopes gently to around mid depths, with rocky outcrops and a shallow reef zone near the cape. Expect clear, Atlantic waters with good visibility on most days and a mild current along the headland. Common species include small tropical and temperate reef fishes, sea breams, wrasse, parrotfish, and moray eels, along with occasional rays cruising the sandy patches. The site is suitable for recreational divers with basic training, and is often paired with a boat or shore dive depending on conditions. Access is straightforward from nearby towns such as El Puertito, La Oliva, and Yaiza, each within a short drive. For safety, check wind and swell and stay aware of surge near the rock faces.
