El Fafo

El Fafo is a local dive site near El Puertito, with easy access from the southern Canary Island coast. The site is typically suited for shallow dives in calm conditions, offering a gentle slope and simple entry. Expect sandy bottoms with patches of rocky substrates and possible man-made structures nearby from local coastal use. Marine life is typical of shallow Canary Island waters, including common reef fish, small wrasse, parrotfish, moray eels, and occasional octopus. Visibility varies with tides and wind, usually best after calm spells. This site is commonly visited as part of day trips from nearby towns such as El Puertito, La Oliva, and Yaiza, each within a short drive.
