Ta Cawl

Ta Cawl is a shallow shore dive site near the Maltese island communities of Qala, Għajnsielem and Nadur. The site sits along a gentle rocky seabed and features easy entry from the shoreline. Conditions are typically calm with modest currents and good visibility, making it suitable for beginners and training dives. Expect rocky outcrops, small caves and crevices, and common Mediterranean species such as groupers, wrasse, parrotfish and octopus in the area. The site’s proximity to multiple towns provides convenient access for local divers, with several dive centers within a few kilometres offering guided trips and equipment rental. Nearest hubs include Qala village centre and the neighboring communities, all within a short coastal drive.
