Southwest Pinnacle

Southwest Pinnacle is a moderate-depth reef dive site located around Ko Tao, featuring a sloping wall and a series of pinnacles that rise from the blue. Divers typically start in mid-water and descend to surrounding ledges, with navigation following the reef edge and the distinct pinnacle tops. The site is known for clear visibility and steady currents, suitable for divers with basic to intermediate training. Expect a variety of reef residents common to the Gulf of Thailand, including small schooling fish, wrasse, damselfish, and occasional larger reef species ranging along the structure. The profile is best when water conditions are calm and winds are light, offering a relaxed yet engaging dive suitable for a first reef experiences or on a twice-daily local dive plan.
