Sand Island

Sand Island is a local dive site near Key Largo offering accessible shallow bottom topography and typical Florida Keys reef habitat. Divers commonly encounter a mix of hard corals, fan corals, sponges, and a variety of tropical reef fish along the sandy seabed. The site features a gentle slope with partitions of sand and small coral heads, making it suitable for beginners and for training dives when conditions are calm.
