Salt Pier

Salt Pier is a shore dive site in Bonaire, accessed directly from the harbor area with a gentle entry. The site features a shallow, sandy bottom leading to a series of pilings and man-made structures that attract a variety of tropical reef life. Expect easy navigation along pilings and around the pier, with gentle currents typical of Bonaire’s west coast dive sites. Common species include damselfishes, surgeonfishes, grunts, parrotfish, and occasionally turtles or rays near the structure. Visibility is often good, with warm water temperatures year-round, making it a reliable option for beginners and for practice of buoyancy and close-quarters maneuvering.
