Sai Daeng Beach

Sai Daeng Beach is a sheltered, sandy shoreline on Koh Tao known for its clear shallow water and relaxed dive conditions. It serves as a popular entry point for beginners and snorkelers alike, with easy access from the coast and nearby resorts. The site typically features gentle to moderate currents near the reef edge, calm surface conditions, and good visibility in calm weather. While the area offers scenic sunsets and a calm underwater ambiance, the beach itself is more of a coastal access point than a specific dive site with notable wrecks or large formations. Local dive centers often conduct shallow drift and training dives just off the beach or on nearby reefs, focusing on buoyancy control, safe entry/exit, and basic reef life encounters. Common species include small reef fish, damselfish, clownfish and occasional parrotfish around rocky patches and seagrass beds.
