Gulhi Falhu

Old Shark Point

Old Shark Point is a coastal reef site in the Maldives, located a short boat ride from Gulhi Falhu and the Malé area. The site features a shallow, sloping reef with healthy hard corals and an array of reef fish common to Maldivian atolls. Divers typically enter from a calm lee side and descend onto a broad reef crest that drops down to mid-depths. Expect clear tropical water, seasonal currents, and good macro and small pelagic opportunities, especially around the coral bommies and sandy gaps. The marine life commonly includes snappers, fusiliers, parrotfish,99 wrasse, turbots and occasional reef sharks on deeper sections. This site is suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers depending on current and depth, with visibility generally favorable in calm conditions.
