Captain Don’s Habitat

Captain Don’s Habitat is a renowned wall dive off Klein Bonaire, near Kralendijk. The site features a vertical drop starting around 5–12 meters that descends along a coral-covered wall to deeper ledges, with varied topography including overhangs and small caves. Expect healthy reef life typical of the southern Caribbean: schooling snappers, groupers, parrotfish, grunts, French angelfish, and occasional rays. Currents can be variable, often best on slack tide; drift dives are common in favorable conditions. Access from shore or a short boat ride from Kralendijk, with nearby anchor points and clear water to reveal the rich biodiversity and occasional sponge gardens. The site is suitable for intermediate divers comfortable with wall-finish dives and some depth, while providing a classic Bonaire diving experience.
