Buddy’s Reef (29)

Buddy’s Reef (29) is a shallow, relaxed reef dive off Bonaire, characterized by healthy corals, a gentle slope, and easy-entry conditions. The site typically features clear Caribbean visibility and a calm, reef-flat environment with abundant marine life including coral colonies, reef fish, wrasse, angelfish, and small cryptic critters among the nooks of the bommies. Depths are generally shallow, making it suitable for beginners and for practicing buoyancy and safety stops. Access is straightforward from the nearby coastline, with parking and a short shore entry. As with any Bonaire reef dive, current is usually mild and conditions are best in calm weather, and planners should be mindful of tides and boat traffic when approaching the reef. Nearby dive sites in the same area are a short boat ride away, offering additional opportunities to explore the Bonaire coral ecosystem.
