Buddha Point

Buddha Point is a reef-dominated site on the rocky southwestern coastline of Ko Tao, known for its sloping reefs and macro life. The site sits in relatively shallow to mid-depth water, with typical dives focusing on easy entry from the rocky shore and gentle to moderate currents that may influence drift along the ridge. Expect a mix of hard corals, sponge gardens, and a variety of reef fish, along with occasional small critters such as pygmy seahorses in richer corals and crevices. Depths commonly range from around 5 to 18 meters, making it suitable for beginners with supervision and experienced divers seeking a relaxed drift among underwater topography. Visibility can vary with wind and runoff, particularly after storms; plan accordingly and dive with local currents in mind. Access is convenient from Ko Tao, and the nearby Buddha rock formations offer notable scenery and photography opportunities.
