Gulhi Falhu

Anemone Reef

Anemone Reef is a shallow, healthy coral site off a white-sand backdrop, renowned for dense fields of colorful anemones and resident clownfish. The reef runs close to the surface with gentle slopes and scattered bommies, making it suitable for beginners and snorkelers alike on calm days. Expect clear tropical water, good visibility, and a steady water temperature typical of the atoll environment. Common reef inhabitants include anemones, damselfish, parrotfish, wrasses, and garden eels, with occasional larger pelagics passing the edges of the reef. Entry from a dinghy or shore-based access is straightforward, and currents are usually mild, though a slow drift can occur with tidal changes. The site provides approachable photography opportunities and a relaxed dive experience near Malé and Gulhi Falhu.
