Dahab

Dahab is a well-known Red Sea diving base on the Gulf of Aqaba coast in South Sinai, Egypt. The town is used by many divers for easy access to daily boat dives and shore entries, with a mix of sandy bottoms, rocky walls, and drop-offs depending on the site. Conditions are often clear with good visibility, and the area is known for reef fish, colorful coral growth, and frequent sightings of larger marine life at the right spots and seasons. Planning is usually centered around choosing a site for the right depth and current level, since the Gulf can bring drift or stronger conditions on some days. Dahab also has a strong training scene, so if you’re starting out you can usually find instructors and courses geared to local conditions.
