Shaab Iris is a shallow reef site off Hurghada, typically visited by local divers for easy conditions and relaxed drift along reef walls. The site features a shallow to mid-depth drop with healthy hard corals, gorgonians, and a variety of reef fishes common to the Egyptian Red Sea. Divers usually enter from a calm beach/boat setup and follow the reef edge along gentle topography, with visibility often good and currents variable depending on wind and tide. This site is best suited for beginner to intermediate divers, offering a relaxed underwater tour with opportunities to see damsel, fusilier, parrotfish, snapper, and occasional reef sharks. Nearby access from Hurghada makes Shaab Iris a convenient option for day trips.
